Circle Oak Equine Sponsorships

Circle Oak Equine is proud to sponsor equine athletes and their humans in their quests for success in a variety of equine sports. To qualify for a sponsorship, owners, riders and trainers must include fitness training in their programs and use the highest standards in caring for their horses. Typically we don't sponsor more than one team in any particular discipline. We currently sponsor 8 events at Sonoma Horse Park and the Circle Oak Junior/Amateur Perpetual Hunter Trophy.  We sponsor riders and horses at Sonoma Valley Stables, David Lawson Performance Horses, Freestyling Farms and the Green Valley Pony Club, based at Gry McFarlane's Windfall Farm. We are rooting for our partners to not only succeed but to have their horses enjoy long and productive careers with a minimum of injuries and down time.

Sonoma Horse Park

Circle Oak Equine and Ron & Sara Malone were the first sponsors of the Sonoma Horse Park when it was still just a field in the back of the Riverside Equestrian Center.  We are so proud to have watched the Horse Park grow into the premier show facility is has become and are thrilled that we have grown along side it.  We sponsor 3 classes and many other events at the Sonoma Horse Park each year and our veterinarians are present at each and every show.  Look for us there!!

Kristin Hardin wins big on Bert the 2015 $10,000 Circle Oak Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Open Jumper Classic!

The 2015 winner of the Circle Oak Equine Junior/Amateur Hunter Derby was Carly Bechtel, riding Walk This Way. Congratulations, Carly, on a great performance!

Sonoma Valley Stables

Circle Oak Equine proudly sponsors two of the winningest trainers on the West Coast - Ned & Hope Glynn of Sonoma Valley Stables.

Ned & Hope Glynn have created a wonderful family atmosphere at their barn, with over 60 competitive hunters & jumpers.  They, along with their team of assistant trainers, have built a barn of friendly, happy and fit horses and riders.  Their impressive resume includes: Induction into the EQUUS Hall of Fame, CPHA horseman of the year, multiple USEF horse of the year awards, multiple USHJA Hunter Derby wins, students in equitation and hunter finals yearly.

Ned and Hope train and compete in triathlons and personally understand the importance of conditioning and proper training for an athlete's optimal performance. Keeping their horses fit and healthy is a critical component of their training philosophy, preventing rather than treating injury. Whether through regular acupuncture treatments or conditioning in the underwater treadmill, Circle Oak is committed to keeping the horses of SVS competing at their highest level. We are proud to be partners with this wonderful team.

David Lawson Performance Horses

Circle Oak Equine is proud to sponsor David Lawson Performance Horses

Born in the midwest David quickly proved to be a force to reckon with in the barrel racing and rodeo arenas.  A two year stint working for Martha Josey solidified his talent in timed events such as barrel racing and poles.  As

David recognizes the importance of team work and good communication between horse and rider, and prides himself in helping to build some great partnerships through the years. “I will never be the trainer who forces a horse or rider to do something they are just not cut out for,” says David about horse and rider relationships. “A huge part of any partnership is shared desire by both parties.”

“I never ask anyone to do anything I wouldn’t do myself. I work with people and horses- they don’t work for me and I don’t work for them. We work together. AWARDS are great, and we all want to win them, but it’s the REWARDS of good horsemanship and good friends that interest me the most.”
