Circle Oak Equine Sports Medicine offers a wide array of therapies for your horse. In addition to her veterinary degree, Dr. Schlachter is certified in acupuncture and chiropractic and incorporates these therapies into both rehabilitation and wellness programs when appropriate.

Dr. Schlachter’s expertise also includes state-of-the-art regenerative medicine therapies including stem cell, PRP and IRAP. Regenerative therapies such as these use your horse’s own tissue to assist in the healing of wounds and injuries. Dr. Schlachter’s offices at Circle Oak Equine are equipped to perform the procedures and both recover and process tissue, eliminating the need to send the cells to an outside lab for processing. For example, following the diagnosis of an injury calling for one of these therapies, Dr. Schlachter can draw your horse’s blood and process it for PRP or IRAP injections, or harvest bone marrow and process it for stem cell concentrate injections, all within about one hour. These cutting edge regenerative medicine therapies are showing great promise in the treatment of tendon and ligament, as well as joint, injuries.
