Rehabilitation Services

Circle Oak provides a fully equipped, peaceful, luxurious environment for horses recovering from injuries, surgery or other health problems. Our aim is to restore your horse to full health through rehabilitation, therapy, exercise and reconditioning. We work with your referring veterinarian and other health care professionals to design and implement a program specifically geared toward your horse’s needs. Led by our Medical Director, Dr. Carrie Schlachter, who oversees all programs, our staff is well versed in a wide spectrum of horse care including hydrotherapy, nutrition and fitness.

We will help you determine the goal of your horse’s rehab program, whether it be recovery from surgery, from a specific injury, to improve the overall health of your horse or to reduce layup time. Using a combination of therapies, such as the HydroHorse™ underwater treadmill, the ECB cold saltwater spa, chiropractic, acupuncture, microcurrent, etc, we will develop a program for your horse that we administer and monitor, adjusting as the horse’s response dictates.

Throughout, we stay in constant communication with all interested parties, such as the referring veterinarian, owner and trainer. Horses receive top-notch care, whether it be veterinary, therapy, grooming or feeding, and we take both still and video photographs to chronicle progress and communicate with owners or caregivers who are unable to visit. All horses are discharged with complete medical, pharmaceutical and farrier records, to allow a seamless transfer of care. You may visit your horse and observe treatments or participate in therapies if you wish.

Circle Oak Basic Rehab Package: Rate: $1000/mo
Our basic rehab package includes board and all of the basic services to keep your horse healthy and happy: feed, Platinum Performance Equine, daily wellness examination, blanketing, grooming, handling, assisting farriers and healthcare practitioners, etc. It also includes basic hand-walking and/or eurociser up to six times per week.

Circle Oak Enhanced Rehab Package: Rate: $1200/mo
Includes our basic services, PLUS additional services including extended hand-walking, long lining or exercise under saddle, weight training or Game Ready™ treatments.

Circle Oak Hydrohorse™ Rehab Package: Rate: $1500/mo
Includes our basic services, PLUS use of the HydroHorse™ underwater treadmill three times per week.

Circle Oak ECB Coldwater Spa Package: Rate: $1500/mo
Includes our basic rehab services, PLUS use of the ECB Coldwater Spa three times per week.

Circle Oak Total Spa Package: Rate: $2000/mo
Includes our basic rehab service, PLUS use of either the ECB Coldwater Spa or the Hydrohorse underwater treadmill up to six times per week.
