Our Focus is on the Health and Well-Being of the Equine Athlete

Circle Oak Equine takes a comprehensive approach to the health and rehabilitation of active and retired performance horses. From diagnosis and treatment to rehab and return to fitness, we offer specialized programs tailored to your horse’s individual condition. Dr. Carrie Schlachter, our Medical Director, conducts her fully equipped sports medicine practice from Circle Oak, and she oversees all programs, although your own veterinarian is always welcome to direct your horse’s care.

“Whether it be for rehab, retirement, or taking care of our upcoming young horses, Circle Oak has provided ourselves and our horses with the care and facility for our top performers. We continue to be impressed by their staff and professionalism and strongly recommend them for any type of rehabilitation work."
–Hope Glynn, Sonoma Valley Stables

Our rehab programs are designed to return your horse to soundness in a manner that does not increase the risk of additional injury and to minimize the mental strain of confinement. For sound horses in active competition, our low-impact fitness and conditioning programs dramatically increase strength and stamina with minimal risk of injury. Our retirement program is designed to provide retired performance horses with the same kind of high-level care and comfort they enjoyed during their competitive careers.

Services at Circle Oak range from the simple, like hand-walking and leg-wrapping, to hydrotherapy and to advanced and complicated procedures such as regenerative medical therapies including IRAP, PRP and stem cell. Whatever the complexity level, all services are integrated into a thoughtful, loving program designed to bring your horse to optimal health and fitness and keep him there.

Ultimate Care and Pampering

At Circle Oak Equine, our basic board rates include virtually all of the regular services that horses require and your horse deserves. There is no additional charge for services such as blanketing, administering injections, assisting vets and farriers, grooming, bathing, routine handwalking, turning out, fly spray/ointment, etc. That’s why our clients call Circle Oak ‘horse heaven’. If you're a horse, it doesn’t get any better than this!
