Veterinary Internship Program

**Applications for our 2017/2018 veterinary internship(s) will be accepted starting August 1st, 2016 - final date to apply is December 15th, 2016. **

PLEASE NOTE: Internships are only for graduates of accredited veterinary schools who have completed a minimum of a two week externship at Circle Oak Equine Clinic.

Circle Oak Equine offers two 12 month internships, beginning on July 1 and ending on July 1 of the following year - a second advanced year of internship may be offered. One internship is focused on sports medicine and the second is focused on rehabilitation.  Our program is designed for new graduates and the internship requires significant horse experience, an excellent bedside manner, talent and commitment, in order to acquire proficiency with a wide variety of advanced imaging and rehabilitation technologies. Interns participate or assist in Digital Radiology, Advanced Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, Lameness Exams, Regenerative Medicine and other therapeutic treatments, Horse Shows, ESWT therapy, documentation of exams and MRI. This internship is for the serious new graduate that wants to become well versed in lameness examinations, diagnostic imaging and rehabilitation therapies in sport horses.

We require a resume and three professional references. The deadline for application is December 15th of the previous year.  We require that potential candidates spend time at the practice as an extern or at least visit for a few days prior to the application deadline date.  Interns will be required to pass the NAVLE license exam to practice veterinary medicine.

Veterinary Externship Program

Please note that externships are only for 4th year veterinary students.  Two to four week veterinary externships for are available on a space-available basis.  Externs will be exposed to all phases of the practice and will assist veterinarians and technicians in the exams and procedures.
