Circle Oak Equine provides full sports medicine diagnostics and therapies; comprehensive, personalized health and fitness programs for horses recuperating from injuries or surgeries or horses needing to improve or maintain fitness, and provides superior long-term care for horses retired from competitive life.

The facility is managed by a veterinarian and staffed by equine veterinary technicians, and equipped with a full array of diagnostic and treatment options. These range from state-of-the-art therapies including stem cell, IRAP and PRP to hydrotherapy such as the HydroHorse™ underwater treadmill and ECB Cold Saltwater Spa, and our staff veterinarian and Medical Director is also certified in chiropractic and acupuncture.

Focus on the Performance Horse and Equine Athlete

Performance horses have special care needs: rigorous training and competition often result in injuries or in veterinary procedures that require recuperation. The quality of care that a horse receives during rehabilitation determines how soon and how successful its return to competition will be. Successful competition requires superb conditioning, and the underwater treadmill allows a horse to exercise using its normal gaits, while significantly lowering the risk of injury. Led by our medical director, Dr. Carrie Schlachter, our staff of veterinary technicians carries out rehab and fitness programs and care for our retired guests. Their expertise covers all aspects of horse health and fitness. You are always welcome to use your own veterinarian, who can consult with Dr. Schlachter as needed.
